Most people in the situation I am in may drop a negative review, but I find that does not appropriately reflect the service you have been given. Service is about care and ownership as well as truth. Out of multiple dealerships and garages I have been to I have been told my car is in "okay shape" and required no service other than basic maintenance at different kilometer ranges. I noticed a clunk in the front of my vehicle and brought it here. Within a few hours of my appointment I received an extremely detailed service report. Unfortunately, this report contained basically the repairs required that would be a strong down payment on a new car. I worked with Stuart who is great. Stuart told me the truth and gave me an overview of my issue. Although, I chose not to complete the work here I feel like my appointment helped uncover what condition my vehicle was actually in. I highly recommend this place. Pros Smart and friendly Quick diagnosis Great reputation Personal car report Cons Sometimes hard to get in touch with. May want to consider putting in an IVR system so you don't lose business. If I decide to do any minor work I will bring my car here... But right now I'm about to basically rebuild a suspension. Wish me luck 🙃

Very Impressed! After decades of having my vehicles serviced by the dealer, I decided to try this independent garage with a good reputation close to where I live. I was not disappointed. My 2023 CRV was due for the "B" service which in addition to the oil and filter change involves a significantly enhanced inspection over the "A" service. When making the appointment, I was told that Bourk's do a pretty comprehensive inspection during the regular oil change which was evident after I received the checklist after the service. My Experience Unlike the dealer, they have a shuttle. In this case I chose to book an "Wait for it" appointment. I arrived 15 minutes early and left about 45 minutes later! I was pleasantly surprised to see/learn the following partial list of items checked: -I noticed the car was taken on a test drive before and after service. Nice they check it before and after working on it. -The wheels were removed to inspect the brakes and measurements were noted. -Cabin and engine air filters inspected and declared in good condition. -Battery amperage measured and noted -Coolant strength measured and noted I'm very happy to have made the switch to Bourk's and look forward to having my future non-Warranty services done there.

Took my car here after my ball joint failed while on the highway. Guys inspected it and warned of bigger transmission damage before doing any work on the ball joint. They could have easily fixed the obvious damage and taken my money but they were honest about the risks and potential costs. They were incredibly patient while i figured out my next steps. Will definitely be coming back in the future for any work on my next vehicles.

Great experience as a first time customer! Came in for an alignment on my old farm truck, frame was bent and not in the greatest shape and they did everything possible to make it drive straight. Very professional company with knowledgeable technicians. They gave me reliable information I could trust. Also printed off multiple specification sheets of the truck’s current alignment, and other information as to things to look out for. Would recommend to anyone in need of automotive repair or maintenance.

After years of searching for a reliable mechanic in Ottawa, I finally found a trustworthy alternative to the pricey Acura dealership. I scheduled an appointment with this new shop for an A/C recharge and brake service, and they exceeded my expectations. Not only did they address my specific concerns, but they also conducted a thorough inspection of my car, identifying the need to replace the air intake and cabin filter. Their meticulous approach included a comprehensive leak test on the A/C system using UV light, dye detection fluids, and nitrogen, confirming no issues (A/C works great after the recharge). They also checked the condition of the condenser, which turned out to be in good shape. Despite a minor squealing noise in the brakes, they found no significant problems but did tighten a loose heat shield, which noticeably reduced other noises. Additionally, the shuttle service they provided was a great touch for convenience. Overall, the experience was a relief, as it didn't drain my wallet like previous visits to the dealership.

Had them reprogram my FRM module for my BMW. Not many places offer this. Was super happy with the service I recieved. I am looking for a new garage in town. Figured I would give them a try. i spoke to Kevin and was informed they are fairly booked up. I was advised that they may be able to squeeze me in between jobs if I dropped off my vehicle overnight. I just dropped my car off tonight :)

It was super easy and quick to schedule an appointment online. Drop off was a breeze. They’ve really embraced technology and email a report about the vehicle including recommended maintenance. There are even pictures of the air filters and various parts. That kind of transparency is really refreshing. They’ve got a great team. I’ve been served by Stuart many times. Very trustworthy. I’ll definitely keep bringing my vehicle there.
